SIT AND GO’S
Sit and Go online tournaments are becoming a big favourite and I like them as a way of making money. The strategy for being long term successful at these games isn’t rocket science. Basically you just need to be patient and you must play “tight-aggressive”. You’ll hear that term a lot. What exactly does it mean? It means be tight when it comes to deciding what hands you are going to play but once you have decided to enter a pot, that’s the time to turn on the aggression. It couldn’t be clearer and that’s the professional way to approach these tournaments. Tight probably sounds like a contradiction to aggressive as far as most new players are concerned but it isn’t. Tight and loose would be a contradiction but not tight and aggressive. You are only being tight as far as card selection is concerned. All else is aggression. The reason this strategy works so well is because a majority of ordinary online players entering Sit and Go’s will be playing “loose” and “aggressive”. These types of tournaments seem to attract that kind of player like bees to a honey pot. The reason is simple. Sit and Go’s are available 24/7 to anyone and everyone. Unlike live poker where once you’re knocked out that’s the finish, with these online scenarios you simply move onto the next game. The risk of losing is really minimal if you keep to the tight-aggressive strategy. It boils down to the fact that most people have joined a Sit and Go to play lots of hands (the definition of the word “loose”). The easiest way to defeat this maniacal style of play is? You’ve guessed it: Patience! Isn’t that where I came in?

“In less than one week, you'll be playing heads-up and taking 1st or 2nd place. I GUARANTEE IT!”

ADDITIONAL SIT AND GO POKER TIPS
An important thing to remember is not to bother “calling”. If your tight hand selection is working properly and you are engaging “patience” on your “strategy dial” you should always be driving the action once you’ve decided you’re in the hand. You’ll be mucking your cards or raising, not calling. Generally speaking the above tips apply to Sit and Go’s where the entry fee is not more than around thirty pounds. Above that amount you may well start to encounter slightly more sophisticated styles of play. By that I don’t mean anything particularly fancy but you may get the occasional player wise enough to start looking at betting patterns. If that happens your tight-aggressive strategy may start to show up on his radar after a dozen or so hands. In my experience this rarely happens at Sit and Go’s where pretty much everyone at the lower cost entry levels are playing fast and loose. If you do get tagged, move on. There are plenty more fish at the next table.
